Location: Des Moines area (Paid Drive Time)
Full or Part-time | Group Home & Community-Based Care for higher functioning clients
DSP Providing Direct Care and working alongside other Support Staff in the home for clients with disabilities (intellectual or behavioral)

Golden Heart is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide in-home and community-based support to individuals including adults with intellectual disabilities across Iowa.

We are seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to work either an 8hr shift or 2.5-4hr shifts (paid drive time), providing consistent, high-quality care in a home-like setting. We provide paid training and ongoing support to help you succeed, apply today!

Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Valid driver’s license (preferred but not required for all roles)
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Compassionate, reliable, and willing to learn
Responsibilities include:
  • Personal care and assistance with daily living activities (ADLs)
  • Meal preparation, housekeeping, and home management tasks
  • Transportation to appointments and community activities
  • Medication reminders (with training provided)
  • Documentation of services provided
  • Encouraging independence and supporting client goals
  • Ensuring a safe and supportive environment throughout shifts

Compensation: $15.50 - $19.00 per hour
